The Welshman, who is a divisive figure at the oche, was in superb form over the weekend in Gliwice as he beat Stephen Bunting in the final. Trailing 7-5, the Iceman took out 103 with 17, D17 and D20 to land the title in dramatic fashion having averaged over 103 in the match.

Before the tournament began, his outright spread was 12-15, but a win and a fourth World Series title saw the spread settle at 50 as buyers won 35x their stake.
