Weekend's Big Winning Bets 23.06.25

landing-page-weekend-230625

There was some superb sporting action over the weekend with our traders seeing plenty of online betting action across Royal Ascot, Test cricket, the Club World Cup, and Tommy Fleetwood’s unsuccessful bid to land the Travelers Championship.

We have ran through the results of the weekend to bring you three big winning bets on our spread betting markets.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

CHESHAM STAKES – TREANMOR 50-25-10 RACE INDEX (SETTLED AT 0)

Horse racing spread betting punters who were hoping for a favourite to get them off to a winning start at Ascot on Saturday were left with their heads in their hands as Treanmor couldn’t even trouble the places.

Despite the vast quality he has had at his disposal over the years, Charlie Appleby has a poor record at Ascot and after Treanmor’s failure in the Chesham Stakes, he was yet to saddle a winner at a Royal Ascot meet.

Sent off with a Race Index spread of 25-28, William Buick’s mount was eased down into an eventual fifth-place finish which meant Treanmor’s Race Index spread settled at zero. Horse racing spread betting punters who had sided against the Godolphin horse won a big winning bet of 25x their stake.

ENGLAND v INDIA – INDIA 1ST INNINGS RUNS (SETTLED AT 471)

Eyebrows were certainly raised when Ben Stokes put India into bat on a good batting deck under clear skies at Headingley. A few hours later, the chuntering only grew on the Western Terrace as India made hay in Yorkshire sunshine with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubmam Gill, and Rishabh Pant all making centuries.

Luckily for England, they were able to fight back on the second day, with the last seven Indian wickets falling for just 41 runs. However, the tourists had reached a daunting total of 471, which was good news for those who had bought on our India 1st Innings Runs cricket spread betting market.

Before play began this was available to trade at 326-341, but with the spread settling at 471, buyers won 130x their stake.

SPAIN UNDER-21 v ENGLAND UNDER-21 – PENALTY GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 129)

After a bad tempered 2023 Euro Under 21 final, there is certainly no love lost between Spain and England at youth level and hostilities were renewed on Saturday when the pair met in the quarter final of this year’s Euros.

England were 2-0 up after 15 minutes thanks to goals from James McAtee and Harvey Elliot, but they were pegged back by a Javi Guerra penalty in the 39th minute. The game remained at 2-1, with plenty of needle and niggle until Elliot Anderson converted a penalty late on to assure England’s progress to the semi-finals.

Two converted penalties meant there was a big winning bet for buyers on one of our more niche football spread betting markets: Penalty Goal Minutes. The spread before kick-off was 13-16 but with Guerra scoring in the 39th minute and Anderson’s penalty counting as a 90th minute strike, the market settled at 129 with buyers winning 113x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
